TecnoAndroid reported that the Fiat Pandina led the October market with 7,191 registrations. The outlet described it as a city car produced at Pomigliano d’Arco. The Dacia Sandero followed with 4,222 registrations, while the Jeep Avenger ranked third with 3,961.
The remainder of the reported top ten was made up, in order, of the Toyota Yaris Cross, MG ZS, Toyota Yaris, Citroën C3, Renault Clio, BYD Seal U and Toyota Aygo X. The MG ZS recorded 3,006 registrations in fifth place, while the BYD Seal U was ninth with 2,588, making them the two Chinese models in the list, according to TecnoAndroid.
The market’s propulsion mix also shifted toward electrified vehicles. TecnoAndroid reported that non-plug-in hybrids accounted for 49% of October registrations, with their volume rising 12.1%. Plug-in hybrids increased 80.7% to a 12.7% share, while battery-electric vehicles rose 28.1% to reach 6%.
At group level, Stellantis remained Italy’s leader with 30,334 registrations, although its volume fell 9.40%, the report said. Volkswagen Group ranked second with 20,372 registrations, down 6.15%, while Renault Group recorded 12,929, down 5.02%.
TecnoAndroid also reported sharp October growth for BYD, Leapmotor, Dongfeng and Geely, and said Deepal entered the Italian market with 520 units. Separately, Auto Świat www.auto-swiat.pl reported that Chinese manufacturers had taken more than 15% of the Polish market by September and were preparing further model launches there. That Polish report provides regional context, but it does not independently corroborate the Italian registration totals or the Pandina’s leading position.
The available evidence therefore documents stronger performance by several Chinese brands alongside growth in Italy’s overall market, but it does not establish that Chinese manufacturers caused or materially contributed to the October increase. The Italian figures and rankings remain supported by a single reporting source in the supplied material.
